Renew in 2002!

It's time to renew your membership for 2002. On your mailing label you will find your current dues status. If it does not read ‘act02’, you have not renewed. You may renew by printing, filling out, and sending in the online membership renewal form along with $15 to the GST treasurer, Robert Meek. (If you have recently sent in your dues, please do not panic—our labels are printed a month in advance of publication.)

If ‘act02’, ‘act01’, or ‘hon’ does not appear beside your name on the mailing label, this issue is being sent to you on a complementary basis. Please consider becoming a member. The rewards include continuing education opportunities and opportunities to stay in touch with colleagues in this region.

Membership Database Corrections Requested

Each month an email message is broadcast to GST members using email address information in the membership database. Approximately one-half of the current GST members cannot be reached via email. If you are not receiving the email broadcasts please send corrections by email to Richard Day at:

GET YOUR BRICK ON THE PATH OF DISCOVERY

The SEG is raising funds through the bricks campaign to enhance the experience of visitors to the Geoscience Center located here in Tulsa. A special area is being planned in the Path of Discovery for GST members that participate in this drive. One rendition of how this special area might look is shown above. Your personalized brick would become part of this special area.  For more details visit the SEG Foundation Home Page at:

http://foundation.seg.org/

Special Bonus: The SEG Foundation is matching every $1000 donated.

The Gravity and Magnetics community has been collecting donations as a group for the SEG Geoscience Center. Guy Flanagan (918-661-7104) is serving as the contact for this effort. Their group donation will be matched by the SEG. The GST Seismic community is also asked to submit their brick donations through either the GST Treasurer, Robert Meek, or the GST Secretary, Richard Day, so every GST donation is eligible for the matching gift.
